Travytour aims to publish practical travel guidance that is useful, transparent and easy to review as travel conditions change.
Our articles are written and edited for an English-speaking audience and are intended to help readers compare destinations, plan realistic budgets and understand the practical trade-offs involved in a trip.
Research and sourcing methodology
Travytour guides are prepared by A. Soliman using structured destination research, official tourism and transport information, government and public-authority guidance, and editorial comparison of routes, costs and travel options.
We prioritise primary and authoritative sources where they are relevant, including:
- Government departments and official travel-advisory bodies.
- National and regional tourism authorities.
- Immigration and visa authorities.
- National park, conservation and heritage organisations.
- Official rail, ferry, airline, airport and local transport operators.
- Official attraction and accommodation providers for their own prices, opening hours, availability and terms.
- Recognised statistical, regulatory and research organisations.
The name of a relevant authority may be recorded during initial research, but identifying an authority alone does not mean that every article-specific claim has been verified against an exact current page.
Time-sensitive information is treated as verified only after the relevant page or provider information has been reviewed and the review date has been recorded editorially.
Travytour articles do not represent first-hand travel experience unless this is stated explicitly.
Fact checking and material claims
Prices, transport schedules, opening hours, visa requirements, entry rules, safety information and provider terms can change.
Before an article is marked as fact checked, material claims should be reviewed against an appropriate current source. Where an exact current figure cannot be confirmed, the article may:
- Use a clearly labelled editorial estimate.
- Present a realistic range rather than a fixed amount.
- Explain that the amount varies.
- Direct the reader to the relevant official provider for the latest information.
- Remove an unsupported claim.
A correct calculation does not prove that the prices used in that calculation are current. Travytour therefore reviews arithmetic and current pricing separately.
Budgets and estimates
Travel budgets published by Travytour are planning tools rather than guaranteed quotations.
Budget figures should explain, where relevant:
- The currency used.
- The number of travellers.
- The length of the trip.
- Whether the amount is per person, per day or for the complete trip.
- The travel style or level of comfort assumed.
- Whether taxes, booking fees or seasonal increases may apply.
Travytour may use its Budget Calculator to check arithmetic and compare cost categories. Readers should still confirm live prices with the relevant provider before booking.
AI-assisted editorial work
Artificial intelligence may assist with initial research organisation, article structure, drafting, summarisation or the identification of points that require further checking.
AI-generated output is not treated as a verified source.
Every article must remain subject to human editorial review. Travytour does not intentionally invent first-hand experiences, quotations, sources or factual claims.
Time-sensitive facts, prices and material travel information require separate verification. Images created with generative tools must be clearly labelled as illustrations where this is necessary to prevent them from being mistaken for documentary or first-hand photography.
Images, maps and external content
Images should be relevant to the destination or subject and should include descriptive alternative text.
Travytour may use third-party photography services, maps and embedded content. Interactive maps may remain blocked until the visitor gives the required privacy preference.
External services and maps may contain information controlled by third parties and may change independently of Travytour.
Corrections and updates
Travel conditions, prices, entry requirements and provider terms change over time.
Travytour may update an article when:
- A material fact has changed.
- A source is no longer current.
- A calculation or factual error is identified.
- A destination, route or service has substantially changed.
- A reader or organisation provides a supported correction.
Important corrections should be made as clearly and promptly as reasonably possible. The article’s research or review date may be updated when a material review is completed.
Readers can report a possible error through the Travytour contact page. Reports should identify the article, the information concerned and, where possible, the relevant supporting source.
Commercial independence
Travytour may use affiliate links, sponsorships, paid placements, complimentary services or gifted products where these arrangements are accepted.
Commercial relationships should not determine editorial conclusions. Sponsored or paid content must be identified clearly, and relevant relationships should be disclosed.
Affiliate commissions do not change the price charged by the provider unless the provider states otherwise. Prices, availability, cancellation conditions and booking terms shown by the provider remain the final reference.
Further information is available in our Affiliate Disclosure.
Editorial responsibility
A. Soliman is responsible for the final editorial review of Travytour articles.
Publication readiness indicators and automated checks are internal editorial tools. They support the review process but do not replace human judgement, source checking or final editorial responsibility.
